Request for TER removal

We would like to remove two of our extensions from TER.

mailformplusplus - is obsolete since we changed the name and key to
Formhandler.

pagemanager - is experimental and will not be developed any further.

AFAIK it is not possible for us to remove the extensions ourselves, so
could anyone please remove them?

Request for TER removal

Whoever it may concern:
Ext:ricbasisettings [1] seems to be an extension that wasn't intented to
get into TER. Could you please remove it?
Notice: I'm not the extension owner.

The concept behind the model-array?

Hello everybody,

I am trying to deal with the lib/div-components to have a new extension.
Now I am having a problem to work with my model, I don't got the idea behind the registry-area of a model class...

Ok, I query the db and register the values:

$result = $GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']->exec_SELECTquery($fields, $tables, $where, $groupBy, $orderBy);
if($result) {
while($row = $GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']->sql_fetch_assoc($result)) {
$entry = new tx_lib_object($row);
$this->append($entry);
}
}

Now, I am able to print out the stuff through my views and templates.
Fine. But how can I deal with some other queries in this model? I can't register more records in this way:

$this->set('foo','bar');

after my query... There is something with parameters for different query, but I do not understand that.

You may help me?

Transferring ml_links

Hi,

It's already quite a long time since I made an enhancement to
EXT:ml_links (December 2007). I never got an answer from original author
whose latest upload dates back from September 2006.

Here is the result of my new attempt to contact him 2 days ago as I made
ml_links compatible with TYPO3 4.3:

The reviews are done by the security team
<http://typo3.org/teams/security/>. Two members of the team will then
either need to do a new review of the complete extension or of the diff
between the previous and the new version (I'm not sure whether this will
suffice, though). If they don't find any flaws, they will set the new
version to "reviewed" as well.

Usually, extension reviews are paid work. So you might want to contact
the security team about doing the review.

Right procedure for new and reviewed version?

Hi extension coordination team,

I am about to update automaketemplate (my employer is owner of the key).
I applied an ancient patch for using the SINGLE tags and copied the
manual to the new template.

I am a bit unsure about how to publish the update taking into account:
1. there is a project on forge (yes, we're member of the team)
2. the extension is marked 'reviewed'
3. the extension is widely used and for many people "mission critical"

So far I've planned to
1. submit changes to svn trunk
2. mark a new version in svn
3. upload to TER (version in ext_emconf.php is really updated
automagically?)
4. get review status back (how???)

I realize that at least for a while the manual will not be available
online (and if the copy has failed it will be unavailable even longer).

Can anyone give some advice on how to get everything arranged as fast as
possible for this extension?

Hello,

yes, that sound good. So the existing xajax-using-extensions don't loose
there reference and it get's clear that xajax is now available as
taxajax. Then in the documentation users can inform theirself WHY it's
forked/ renamed.

This has been decided on this list to do so with the new taxajax
extension. I am not going to change this back again. With xajax you

taxajax, which is a fork of the xajax extension but with slight
improvements needed for TYPO3. xajax could not be used because some

Elmar said long before he quit, that he just wanted to lead the group
until the end of 2007. I don't know why he doesn't answer emails, but he
is doing what he said.

Some time ago we talked about extensions without maintainer. Here's our
result:

Hi,

ok.

But there is another problem.

There are actually the following extensions:
- xajax
- xajax-tutor
- jquery
- jsmanager
- scriptaculous

They all belong to the pseudo-user xajax, which was originally created
by Elmar Hinz and he shared the password with me.

However, I can't login anymore and the forgot-password-link sends out an
email to where-ever.

Also a direct email to elmar had no success.

For jquery and jsmanager I found a new maintainer (also made the switch
on forge).

But I can't move all of these extensions to a new maintainer.

Is there a process/group/person I can work with to solve this problem?

please post also in dev, english, german, and maybe also on one of the
german forums.

why: the ect-newsgroup is just read by about 5 persons what already have
a big todolist. I know beginners of TYPO3 like to have an interesting
task to care about - they just don't know the people who have to many todos.

as Steffen said are you using the wrong newsgroup for your questions.
This newsgroup is about coordination of extension development, and
although lib/div is/was developed by ECT, questions about how to use the
MVC-model belong more to the german or english newsgroup. The dev-group
might be appropriate in some of the questions, but is in general more
for enhanced ext-development.

And reading the shipped documentation of lib/div and having a look at
the provided example extensions (apples, bananas, ...) or some other
extensions using lib/div might have helped in 99% of your questions
(that's what I did when I built my first lib/div extension ;) ).

Probleme mit der Verwendung von set()-Methode

Hallo zusammen,

nachdem ich hier ein bisschen ein Monolog führe, versuch ich es einmal auf Deutsch.

Ich habe ein Problem mit der set()-Funktion von tx_lib_object. Wenn ich folgendes im model angebe:

$this->set('test','hallo welt!');

bekomme ich im Template die korrekte ausgabe.
Wenn ich aber eine Klassenvariable ausgeben will,

$this->set('test',$this->memberVar);

Dann bekomme ich keine Ausgabe. Per echo kann ich aber die Variable ausgeben lassen...
Kann mir das jemand erklären? Ich habe hier gerade keinen Durchblick und bräuchte da etwas Hilfe!

How to print out member variables?

Hello everybody,

still I do not solve my problems with taht three-component-model.

I do have a model-class with some prepared data:

class tx_test_models_example extends tx_lib_object {

var $testMember;

function tx_test_models_example(){
parent::tx_lib_object();
}

function useMember(){
$this->member = $this->controller->configurations->get('membertextOutOfFlexform');
$this->set('member',$this->member);
}
...
-------------

Ok, the thing is, that I can't use $this-set()-method, if I don't have the tx_test_models_example()-constructor.
But if I have the constructor I can't reach the configurations with $this->controller->configurations->get('membertextOutOfFlexform');...

Any suggestions to me? At the moment I am a little confused.
Thanks to anybody, who could help me.

I thank you very much for solving my problem mentioned above.
I succeeded to have the configuration-things were I need them.

Although I do have another question:
It's just to understand that whole thing. If I need something from the model, I'll have to define a get-function in the model, makeInstance() in the view of my model and call the get-function.
Or is there another faster way?

As Franz pointed out, you can access the controllers configurations via
$this->controller->configurations

But you should consider setting only options you really need from the
controller to minimize dependencies.
That could look something like this:

// this method is called automatically by lib/div before each action
public function doPreActionProcessings() {
$modelClassName =
tx_div::makeInstanceClassName($this->configurations['modelClassName']);
$this->model = new $modelClassName($this);
$this->model->setStoragePID($this->configurations['storagePID'])
...
}

So you can more easily reuse the model from another controller, hook,
api whatsoever.

everything is available inside the controller, which itself should be
available in all your models (if not, create a reference to the calling
controller in your model) and then do:

$this->controller->configurations->get('whatever');

Just have a look at the documentation of lib (typo3conf/ext/lib/doc/*.txt)

your controller is aware of all data from the cObject, so
$this->getData('uid') called from inside your controller should give you
the uid of the cObject.
