Tablet is detected but no input is received.Hi list,
After having upgraded my computer to Slackware 13.0, I'm trying to get my Wacom Bamboo tablet working again. (It was working fine on Slackware 12.2, BTW.) So far, I have installed the wacom software through Slackbuilds.org (it's version 0.8.3_6), and from the looks of it, everything should work fine. But it doesn't... /proc/bus/usb/devices shows the following: T: Bus=03 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=056a ProdID=0065 Rev= 1.08 S: Manufacturer=Wacom Co.,Ltd. It seems that the system detects the Wacom Bamboo tablet. However, when I now move the pen around the tablet, or press any of the buttons, nothing happens. Similarly, 'xxd /dev/input/wacom' and 'xxd /dev/input/mouse2' don't do anything. (According to /dev/input/by-id, mouse2 is the Wacom mouse device.) I haven't configured anything in /etc/x11/xorg.conf, X is configured automatically. But nothing actually happens when I move the pen around the tablet. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong here? It would sure be nice to have a working tablet... :-( Thanks for any tips and pointers.
