I put some time in to creating a build verification test system today.
It runs at :00 and :30.  Take a look, and see if it's useful to you.

http://66.152.65.8/~cjcollier/tao/buildState.html
Current state of the anon repo at svn.myrealbox.com

http://66.152.65.8/~cjcollier/tao/build.log
The log of the last or current build

http://66.152.65.8/~cjcollier/tao/LastKnownGood.txt
The subversion revision number of the last succeeded build

There is a lot of room for improvement:

TODO:
- Keep a log of the last 10 builds
- Integrate with subversion's fancy features
- better HTML that doesn't suck so much
- maybe some templatizing using mason
- locking so long-running builds don't step on the toes of the last
build
- per-package build verification

Grr.  Gmail support for mailing lists sucks.  Can't always remember Reply-to-all, and don't enjoy deleting the extra email addresses.

Cool.  Except for the autotools support, CruiseControl.NET has been working pretty nicely for Axiom, just to throw out an alternative.  Runs on Linux, too.
