Position:       Technical Support Engineer
Location:       Oberhausen, , Germany
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2008-12-19

System Adminstrator for Telecommunications Company.Manage Operations and Support for European Offices (France/Germany)
Coordinate regional requirements for system upgrades, enhancements
and global projects impacting the region.

Develop business relationships with various functions within company in Europe (HR, Finance, Engineering, etc.) and continually strive to improve overall service.

Build and improve key processes (purchase to pay, hire to fire, backup and restore)



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Duties and Requirements: Classic System Administrator functions:
Operations: Network, Servers, Backup/Restore, Anti-Virus, Upgrades, Configuration, Account Management
Manage physical assets
Application Support:  SalesLogix, Sage, Crystal Reports, SQL Server
Controls: IT Audit, J-SOX, Finance Audit
Adhere to global and regional security policies
Documentation and Training
Issue Escalation
Staff Management:
May be required to supervise staff on interim or long term basis
Manage Real Estate and Facilities function:
        Physical Access, Monitoring, Audits, Maintenance
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Degree in (BS/MS/Dipl. Ing) in Software Engineering, Computer science or Electronics or related areas – or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years as Systems Administrator in technology company
• MCSE or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in English
• Strong technical skills
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and activities and prioritise workload.
• To be proactive and excel in a fast-paced environment with excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
• Works well under pressure.
