Terracotta Cluster Events and nodeLeftHi.
According to the updated documentation nodeLeft event may not occur if the application was killed with "kill -9". If I understand correct it is concerned about *killed* node only, and another nodes *will* receive nodeLeft event if one is gone because of "kill -9". (Small example: consider one server SERVER-A and multiple nodes NODE-A, NODE-B, NODE-C, NODE-D. Client reconnect window is *finite*. Node C was killed with "kill -9" (or the computer just blew up). NODE-C did not receive nodeLeft, but NODE-A, NODE-B and NODE-D received) Do I understand the subject right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. It's not clear for me. Thanks. _______________________________________________ tc-users mailing list tc-users@... http://lists.terracotta.org/mailman/listinfo/tc-users |

Terracotta TIM Master WorkerHello Everyone, I was testing terracotta using large datasets and was looking into the Master Worker Pattern. I found out some of the examples here http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/labs/Master+Worker But i couldn't find any good documents/ tutorial for using the TIM master Worker module other than the small code snippets given here http://forge.terracotta.org/releases/projects/tim-messaging/docs/quickstart.html Can anyone point me to the right documents/tutorial? Thanks Regards, ren _______________________________________________ tc-users mailing list tc-users@... http://lists.terracotta.org/mailman/listinfo/tc-users |

However, there are a lot of code samples showing API usage among tim-masterworker tests and system tests: just take a look at the source code. And obviously, do not hesitate to ask if you need any info. Cheers, Sergio B. -- Sergio Bossa Software Passionate and Open Source Enthusiast. Re: Terracotta Cluster Events and nodeLeftBy next weekend we'll roll out another update to the cluster-events doc that will further clarify the way it works.
