Test proxy connection settings

Hi there,

I must often change my artifactory proxy settings (login/password). The guys in charge of the corporate proxy make changes sometimes that break our software settings.

I would like to be able to test the proxy connection from within artifactory to make sure it can access the internet. How can I do that without having to play with the cached data? I don't want to delete some cached data otherwise if my connection is broken I will not be able to get them again and my collegues will kill me.

Any clue? A new feature for artifactory?
