The Tax Burden...

40% of all earners make less than 10% of all income (individually, by
quintile), and 80% of all earners make less than 20% of all income
(again, individually, by quintile).  But perhaps a more revealing note
is the percentage of income required to ensure food and shelter.  For
while there is a certain rickety defensible logic to the argument that
a greater tax burden is borne with greater income, it becomes moot
when shown (all quintile subsisting on the exact same food-stuffs) to
occupy less than 1% of income while other quintile supple in the 10s,
20s or 30 percentiles for just food alone.

I think I get your gist, and it's useful suggestion Mr A"d"V.  But my
intent was to pause for appreciation, not search for a "solution" just
yet.  Precedent to a later notion of perhaps the better direction for
that "work". though.  The solution of burden/obligation is still
itself a contender for that work... which, although not literal in
creation, is of no less value itself, inspirationally, to actual
creation, and so is of value of investigation in it's own right and,
one might reasonably suggest, of prior logical order.

Not a thing, Anthony... my cumbersome chop-job reply was intentionally
somewhat tongue-in-cheek as well...  :)

In the context of this list.. that was actually quiet funny!

Here's one:

"Comic sans walks into a bar, bartender says, 'we don't serve your type.'"
