The Time and Money Well Spent ????

On 12-10-07 I attended the cocktail reception. The
announcement indicted a employee benefit presentation
and a donation to Local 30's Charity Fund from our
International Union.
Unfortunately, the evening was very disappointing.
The employee benefit is a new type of credit resource
called Perk Card. I feel, presenting a "discount"
program, a simple letter of explanation would have
been sufficient. One hour and 45 minutes later the
presentation concluded. I was bored and irritated
comparing this experience to a "time-share"
presentation. After enduring such a presentation,
there was no mention of a check or monies to our
Charity Fund.
Had I been aware of the agenda, I would have declined.
Thus, saving myself the time and my union the money.
