The case of the disappearing 'Others' folder

Hi guys.

Seemingly for no reason, in the right-click menu, the item 'Others'
appears and disappears randomly. Not entirely randomly, it's mostly not
there at all.

This is particularly annoying, as some classified LyX as 'Others' (or
didn't classify it as Office or so), and then I have to start LyX as Run
program...

Anyone suspect a possible cause?
John

It happens to the Other menu in the XFCE menu as well. A log out and log back in restores it but why does it go away and why just the other menu?

I must have expressed myself badly... But that is exactly what I meant.
And I typed 'Others' instead of 'Other'. I hadn't noticed the re-login
solution - I rarely log out here.

Anyway - thanks for confirming it's not my imagination (or my computer).
