Re: Third Edition of: Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing Programtalking about hardcopies. if you purchased any of the previous copies, would the price include any updates to the book (like this one) or would you just need to buy the book again?

Re: Third Edition of: Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing ProgramThanks indeed,
Does the book already go into the new features of version 0.47? Steven On Oct 23, 2009, at 4:53 PM, id746-spam@... wrote: > Tav, > > Thanks for your hard work. I've tried to keep the guide suitable for 0.46 as well so if you are still using 0.46 and then upgrade to 0.47 the 3rd edition should be good for both. Yes, you can see for yourself with the online version: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/index.php I've strived to keep the book compatible with 0.46 as well although the screen shots have been updated to 0.47. Re: Third Edition of: Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing Programnot a problem, I was just asking as I belong to a die cutter group and we use inkscape (mostly) to design our cutter files and a few have brought the book and will want to know if they need to re-buy or not. I've given them all the link so they can go see the info.
I say "we use inkscape (mostly) to design" as some use corel draw or illustrator to design, basically we just need to have .svg files. we like the fact that inkscape is free so people buying the cutters can download and get familiar with the software whilst waiting for the machine to arrive LOL Thanks Gaz(UK) 2009/10/23 Tavmjong Bah <tavmjong@...>
