Pixels is the only way I know how to do it with tiki syntax (someone may know another workaround). By the way, you only have to indicate the reduced number of pixels for height or width (not both) - it should automatically keep the aspect ratio.<br>

</div>It depends a lot what type of fields your are using . Are you using itm
<br>links, itemslist,, etc...? Depends also how it is organized? do you have
<br>popup? Are all the fields searcheable....

<br><br>Ok, I can take a look at tiki 5 trunk, but one question: hasn't there been many changes from 3.x to 5?
<br><br>The problem is: the feature is currently broken on tiki 3.3, and because of the LTS thing, I believe it will be adopted by several sites (LTS is really attractive to some people).
<br><br>Say, you click the insert image button, and insert a PDF (because it is listed there), it shows the PDF icon on the wiki page, but when you click the icon to open the file, it just get stuck (which is bad).
<br><br>So, chatting on IRC last night, luciash said about the detection of file format, and I thought: yes, why not *detect* that it is not an image (using the file extension) and just insert the download link directly in that case, and if it is an image, just embed the image. This change would "fix" the functionality, and add what I currently need (easy way of inserting download links on wiki pages).
<br><br>off course, also there is the other option, but it would be a bigger change, I think.

<br><br>I think this is a major step and I updated: <a href="http://info.tikiwiki.org/Download" target="_top" rel="nofollow">http://info.tikiwiki.org/Download</a><br><br>Now, until when?
<br><br>According to the proposal here: <a href="http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Version+lifecycle" target="_top" rel="nofollow">http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Version+lifecycle</a><br><br>Tiki 3.x LTS would be supported until Tiki 7.0 is out (2011-04), at
<br>which point, Tiki 6.x becomes LTS.
<br><br>So, for LTS people, they would have major upgrades every 18 months.
<br>And with minor updates in between, as needed (security issues).
<br><br>Please review/update the proposal.

<br><br>* trackers have almost the same issues across versions for us.
<br>We have 22 trackers, containing between 1 and 373 items each (1168 items
<br>in total)
<br>I tested 5 of them across the three tiki versions. memory_limit for
<br>php.ini is at the moment at 64 Mb.
<br>The tracker with the worst performance is tracker43, which has: 363
<br>ítems, 15 fields, shown for admin. Showing 30 items per page.
<br>It's shown in Tiki 2.4, but it isn't in Tiki 3.3 and Tiki 4.0. (memory
<br>exhausted attempting to show the 7th item in the list, out of the 30
<br>requested).
<br><br>Another good one is tracker40, with 68 items, 10 fields, which is shown
<br>fine on Tiki 2.4, Tiki 3.3, but It shows just 10 items before the memory
<br>exhausted message in Tiki 4.0. In all cases attempting to display 30
<br>items per page (as the global setting for the whole Tiki).
<br>When I did set that setting from 30 (items in listings) to 10, it didn't
<br>properly show them yet (memory exhausted again). And when the setting
<br>was lowered to 5 items per page, then tracker40 showed them properly,
<br>with the theme style being loaded and the drop down to filter items by
<br>fields, etc.
<br><br>So for trackers, a workaround to avoid the problem of huge memory
<br>consumption even in a tracer with 68 items and 10 fields (over a total
<br>1168 items in total for all trackers), would be to allow a separate
<br>setting to limit the number of items shown in trackers for all trackers
<br>in Tiki, or in a tracker by tracker level.
<br><br>Otherwise, trackers for us are broken with its current design, even in
<br>Tiki 4.0, and even in such a simple tracker with less than 70 items and
<br>10 fields.
<br><br>I hope this can make us more aware of the big performance problems we
<br>have in trackers with this current design, still in Tiki 3.x (LTS) and
<br>Tiki 4.0.
<br><br>(I wonder what would have happened with the design in "trackers with
<br>mirror tables", having each tracker on a separate mysql table...).

Oh, well, I did test a few upgrades, and found some unresolved bugs. I
did test that site with performance issues with Tiki 3.3 instead, and
trackers were still showing the memory consumption problems (not fully
shown many trackers with less 100 items each). I'm in process to try
tiki4 in with a cloned db also, just in case 4.0 did well enough for
trackers at least... But that site is using forums, categories and
permissions extensively, and we can't afford introducing bugs there...
(& too many things to test)<br>
