The following is my reply to perhaps the stupidest, most illogical post in the history of the MH mailing list. First an analysis of what led up to this (all is well documented in the mailing list, dating to last spring.)
1. I started fixing MH last spring. We all know that. If you are not in the know, go back and look at the SVN logs (if you really have time to wade through hundreds of updates that span the entire width and length of the project!) The thing was pathetic in virtuaclly every area before I stepped in (also well documented.)
2. Instead of being grateful, a couple of sad sacks, who were being made to look stupid, started bitching publicly.
3. I told them to please shut the hell up and let me finish my updates as I don't have time to school losers (and my results were speaking LOUD and CLEAR!) And no, I didn't say it like that. My basic assertion was that if they were unhappy with the test version, they should revert back to whatever they were using the day before. These geeks just have to download the test version every day, even in the middle of a massive renovation, which is just stupid. Obviously nothing was written in stone while I had half of the source code locked (and for some reason, the Linux hacks think locks are a Microsoft convention and therefore evil!) I made it quite clear that it would take months to get everything up to snuff and since nobody else was doing anything to help, what right did they have to bitch?! As somebody posted: he who writes the code makes the rules.
4. This bum, Tim Sailer, steps in and posts a really feeble attempt at a flame. Just what the project needs. As I recall, he referred to me as a child or teenager or whatever (the typical non-argument from clueless losers who live in and derive their entire identities from online forums.) Note that his made-up friend Jimmy also refers to me as a kid.
5. I told him to mind his own business as he was clueless to the development machinations (he is not a programmer and certainly was not informed about the ongoing renovation.) Furthermore, I was not about to waste time "debating" anything with know-nothings when I was in the middle of posting the most significant upgrade that this project had ever seen. And who gave me permission to do this? Bruce Winter. He had already seen my Web interface as I had an "open house" a few months prior. I told him if he wanted the interface, the core code would have to be upgraded. I refused to slap a new body on an engine that needed an overhaul as that is the sort of stupidity that got the project where it was (a God-awful mess at that point.) He agreed to this and told me to start uploading the changes. Anyone who thinks this project was NOT a disaster prior to 2.103, should revert back to 2.102 or prior and see for themselves!
6. Several other bums jump on the bandwagon and start crying that they are going to stop contributing to the project (what a tragedy that would have been!) This is a standard ploy for losers who want sympathy. The IA5 guy went so far as to demand that his Web interface be removed from the distribution. What?! As I have said numerous times, they should have taken him up on that offer as his frameset is the weakest link in the entire project (and the number one reason that new users give up on it!)
7. That bitch Matt Williams, who is buddies with the aforementioned losers and entrusted with the source code repository, locks me out in mid-update. That's right. Hundreds of files went up one night to the test version (the TEST VERSION) and the next day I was now unable to modify them, update change logs, post documentation, etc. Nobody else has a clue what I have done (except that things are starting to look good at this point), nothing has been tested (except on my Windows PC) and now I am locked out. Yeah, that was a smart move, especially considering that most of the users run Linux!
8. Against all odds, the mailing list crybabies convinced Bruce Winter that I was somehow the villain in all this and I was "banned" from the mailing list (quotes indicate that you can't ban me from anything, certainly not email!) As if anyone wants a half-renovated project without the input of the person who just updated HUNDREDS OF FILES, including literally thousands of changes to the core code, common code modules, support libraries, etc. So now I can't help with the testing of these changes or document them either! Christ on a crutch! These people are completely insane!
9. I contined working and finished up everything else (including X10 with CM15a, IR control, email, much-needed Web interface, etc.) Brent DeShazer posted a movie of himself using his Web browser. David Norwood, et al. tried to answer questions about MY FUCKING CODE and fell flat on their collective faces. What a disaster. And keep in mind that Tim Sailer instigated this mess. Where the FUCK is that Web interface from the movie?! Where the FUCK is Brent DeShazer?! As I predicted, nothing came of that IFrame-based nonsense. What has Tim Sailer fixed in the interim?! How about the IA5 loser?! Has David Norwood even bothered to fix the "new window" BS from his ridiculous IR page (one attribute on one tag as documented in this branch?) Of course not. Losers don't do anything; they just bitch and whine and threaten to resign.
10. With me "banned" from the collective MH consciousness, Tim Sailer proceeds to post more lame-brained flames, knowing that I will likely not bother to create a new identity just to respond to his pablum (which I didn't.) What a bitch. Just what the project needed right?! And one of his bitchiest complaints was the lack of documentation that was causing mass confusion with the development (pushing back what should have been a summer release to mid-fall!)
11. Meanwhile, I posted most of my findings (and a ton of code) here for future developers, despite the fact that I was under no obligation to help steer this rudderless derelict (who would after all of this shit?!)
12. So now they are all looking like absolute idiots. No way around it. Tim Sailer, the instigating dork that he is, decides that he wants to somehow, some way save face for his buddies, against all odds and in the face of all logic. So this genius decides to make up an imaginary friend (we'll call him Jimmy as he did.) And he cooks up this faux email conversation with "Jimmy", whereby he purportedly forwarded the email from me (fat chance.). So let me get this straight: Tim Sailer, who apparently thinks very little of me or my ability to help the project, just decides OUT OF THE FUCKING BLUE to forward a link to MY BRANCH of this forum, which is squarely aimed at PERL coders, to this newb so he can figure out how to set up Misterhouse?! I'm right about that part right?! That's his story? Well I don't buy it (apologies to Tarantino for the parody in this section.) Seems to me he is instigating again. His "friend" Jimmy writes back this ridiculous rant that he is fed up and quitting the project, thereby "validating" Tim Sailer's "position" that I am some sort of bad seed and will cause everyone to quit before they get started (as opposed to a developer who put YEARS into this project, fixed virtually everything, invented numerous mechanisms that are in use to this day and clearly the only one who really knows how to make a standard Web iinterface work with MH AND got "banned" as a thank you!)
13. And furthermore, while I was "banned", I managed to enlist other MH developers to integrate my X10 scene support, xAP C/S and other innovations. Also, I was able to help numerous users to patch the various bugs by email (some of which made it into the repository, most did not.) Most recently I fixed the 2-way X10 processing (status reporting) via private email and I sent the fix to Bruce Winter (who did nothing with it as is his modus operandi.) While I was doing all of this, Matt Williams decided he wanted to rewrite the X10 objects ON THE EVE OF A FUCKING RELEASE, resulting in complete chaos for the abstract objects that sit atop them. I could go on and on about this mass hysteria (but much of it is already documented in this branch of the forum anyway.)
The guy is a moron. He always was. Go back and read all of the posts if you are a masochist. You can't say I didn't warn you last spring (regarding the vaporware Web interface, Tim Sailer's instigating nonsense, Matt Williams insistence that he is an "MH Genius", David Norwood's incompetence, Bruce Winter's project-destroying meddling, etc.) It's all laid out here for the world to see and there is no amount of Tim Sailer BS that is going to dilute it. Nice try shithead.

Okay Borat.
So you helped get my original message in the actual mailing list. Thanks so much! I thought your "strategy" for burying your head(s) in the sand was to keep my opinons out (see no evil, hear no evil, etc.) LOL.

Dude.

dmark kid?! I have to believe I am older than you (dude!)
And the issues are with the code (what else?) Bummer.
>>people that wrote it. What's his problem? Besides, he says he's not even
Dumbasses like you and the monkey who forwarded this (though I am appreciative that he would help propagate it!)
>>RUNNING misterhouse! Dude... that ain't help! With people like that
Never mind what I *run*. I wrote most of the useful stuff and I defy you to name anyone else who can help Windows users with this mess. Dude, you are bringing me down.... NOT!
>>'helping', I'll just go out and buy something.
Quitting then? Delicate eyes can't take criticism? Bogus.
Why not just skip my posts? Oh, because you are too stupid to realize you are looking at a branch of the main forum. Niiiiiice.
No los queremos!! NO LOS NECESITAMOS!!!!!!!!! Dude(s).

Yeah.

You said it!

Anonymous too! What a puke. Of course this is really just Tim Sailer hiding. This guy is a brain-dead snitch (not a good combination for a tech support group!)
