Re: Time for nine? The work has begun and all ctypes except the user type has passed the compiler after some tweaks. But after that the real work begins and I expect it to be quite some work to get it to work properly in LP9, based on my findings so far.
After all of Knop runs on 9 I could use help with systematic testing, or even better, writing test cases to cover as much aspects as possible. My primary goal is to try to keep one code base for both 8 and 9, but I'm not sure that will work out. Re: Time for nine?Since anything I do is based on Knop I have a hard time testing nine
before Knop works on it. Once you have the user type running I'll put an entire application in nine and start testing it. Anything I find I'll gladly report and if possible try to fix. Keeping the same code base is good for situations where you'll have mixed platforms. But when should we start making use of the nine specific features? A hard question to answer. Not only for Knop. :-/ HDB Jolle 21 sep 2009 kl. 19.09 skrev Johan Solve: > The work has begun and all ctypes except the user type has passed > the compiler after some tweaks. Not only for Knop. :-/ I'm not too fond of the idea of developing Knop for two different Lasso versions in parallell, so that's why I want to try keep the code identical until the version for 8 can be abandoned/frozen. -- Johan Sölve [FSA Member, Lasso Partner] Web Application/Lasso/FileMaker Developer MONTANIA SOFTWARE & SOLUTIONS http://www.montania.se mailto:joh-n@...
