Too large .msg file

Hello All,

Did anyone ever face a problem of opening a very large .msg file?
I am not being able to use notepad, wordpad gets frozen, even gave Context ( a freeware - text editor) but could not read it because of its size.

Any advice would be helpful.

Hi,

Did you allow it some time to recover? It might freeze for a while but might
open after some time = you may need to be more patient.

Also try using a PC with more RAM.

Another way is to read selected number of lines into Excel. You can write a
macro to do that.
OR
You can write a small atand alone program to do that..

Try VI editor (GVIM for windows) - it is very good and can handle really
large files.

Yes!  vi is awesome, and can be used in any computer under any OS
