This is a quick post to let everyone know that a new automated
toolchain install script, incorporating GDB 6.8, and the
or1ksim-0.3.0rc2 has been created and should be up on OpenCores by
Monday. As well as installing the latest versions of GDB and or1ksim
it addresses the problems faced when compiling binutils-2.18.50 with
gcc-4.3.2 that I (and as Rich pointed out, others have) posted about,
plus another little niggle in the Linux kernel compile. The script has
been tested and is working under Ubuntu 8.10.

Hi Julius,

I guess you weren't on the mailing list in time to see that Or1ksim
0.3.0 is already released. I'd strongly recommend you include it rather
than 0.3.0rc2. There's a bucket of bugs fixed in the 0.3.0 release.

ATB,

Jeremy

Hi JB,
Excellent!! And thanks.

Is this a linux-2.6.19 release? If so, would you be interested
releasing with 2.6.24 ? This way we would get the lasted from Jeremy
as well as the latest supported kernel.

Thanks,

Rich d

Could you please publish this script without any VmWare images?
