Touchscreen right click emulation

I have a Thinkpad x61 multitouch tablet with Ubuntu 8.10 and the newest linuxwacom drivers installed, 0.8.2-2.  I like using my laptop in tablet mode w/o a pen but have not found a way to emulate a right click.  I have tried using the assistive technologies "hold for right click" option built into Gnome but the "hold time" is recognized by everything, incluing the pen, but not the touch.  Are there other options or configurations open to me?

Easystroke [1] 0.4.1 supports this:  Make Button 1 a 'click & hold'
gesture button and then add a new action of type 'button'.  When
recording the gesture, just do what you would to trigger the action:
hold down the "mouse button" for a while.
I think that timeout gestures are generally a better way of emulating
mouse buttons, though.
