Hy, I'm Alberto from Pordenone Italy, i'm the principal of a little
school. I'm using KMymoney by three years, I would like to help you to
translate in Italian. My mother and some friend speak english very well
so probably could be a work that we can do it.
Is it possible to know the number of word to translate and the type of
software that we need and wich type of work that we have to do? We use
Ubuntu 8.04 in all computers.
Thanks for all.
Alberto

Thank you for your willingness to support the open source community and our
project in particular.

The source code package ships with an almost complete Italian translation. I
don't know, if that is available as part of the Ubuntu package you might have
installed. An overview about the state of the translations can be found on
http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/translate.php

You might want to check https://edge.launchpad.net/~claydoh/+archive which is
a repository of one of our users. He maintains the latest versions there and
it could be that it contains the translations.  In case you have specific
questions about this repository or its contents, you might want to get in
touch with Clay, either directly or here on the list.
