	Trouble downloading Mapnik by Gerry James-2 :: Rate this Message: Reply to Author \| View Threaded \| Show Only this Message Some parts of this message have been removed. Learn more about Nabble's security policy. I have been trying to download the Windows version of Mapnik 0.6.0 yesterday but it keeps timing out. I am currently using Wget with unlimited retries and it has been running for the better part of 12 hours. The file is only 17Mb as far as I can tell so I am not sure why it is having so much trouble. Does anyone know if this is normal, if it will be fixed or if there is an alternate download site? I am not having any trouble with downloads from anywhere else so I am certain it is not on my end. I am really interested in looking at this application as I have heard some great things about it. Have a look and tell me if you approve. Oh by the way....LOVE QUANTUMNIK...perhaps the biggest advance in open source GIS in a while. I did a little survey on LinkedIn a while back about who uses OSGeo and I got a lot of comments about the poor CARTOGRAPHIC performance of OS Desktop GIS... I think this goes a long way toward bridging the gap.
