Running on:

Asus A8R-MVP motherboard with
Marvell Yukon onboard ethernet controller chip
Dual Opteron CPU with 1GB memory

XP/SP2
Hercules     3.06
Hergui       v 1.11
WinPCap      4.0.0.755
FishPack.dll 3.2.1.160
TunTap32.dll 3.2.1.160

Tried to solve the problem with TunTap after system message
HHCTU002E Initialization failed for device:

After much research and mis-reading the docs, I finally got the
problem fixed. It appears that putting the DLLs in the Windows\system32 directory is not the complete solution. It did
fix the "tuntap32.dll:  not found/unable to load" message....
but the problem persisted.

The solution is to place the Fish TunTap directory in the windows PATH. It worked for me.

It begs the question, though, of how does Hercules load the DLLs?

And now onward to testing from a WAN IP to my MVS/TSO machine.

I thank everyone who responded to previous TunTAp errors, because I  learned a few things by reading those threads.
