This reminder is sent out every month to remind the membership of the group's policies.

1) banning policy - any member who posts spam, ads or flames may be banned from the group without prior warning. Although it is the policy of the moderators to be lenient on questionable posts, the decision of the moderators to ban a member is final and may not be appealed.

2) hard bouncing - a member that is hard bouncing may be unsubscribed without prior notice. Hard bouncing means that an email account is no longer active or is experiencing severe problems. Such unsubscribed members may rejoin the group once their accounts' email addresses are functioning properly. (Note that, in general, a full mailbox is not sufficient to cause a hard bounce.)

3) soft bouncing - the moderators take no action, one way or the other, for accounts that are soft bouncing. To see your bounce history and request that your Yahoo! groups retry your email address(es), log into Yahoo! groups, then click My Groups -> Email Preferences -> Bounce History.

4) trimming posts - we recommend that you consider trimming irrelevant sections from posts that you are replying to. This makes your reply easier for the members to read and helps reduce server and network traffic.

5) spam blocking software or services - if you use spam block software or a spam blocking service, please whitelist "*@returns.groups.yahoo.com".
I'll try the Palm reader. I loaded the Adobe reader, and for some reason the T3 doesn't recognize that the program is there. I did bring the reader up several times, but still didn't work.

Hi Sean,

You got that error message because there is no software in your T3 that can read a pdf file (Palm Reader only can read a pdb file). To read a pdf file on your T3, you should install a pdf reader such as PalmPDF (i recommend this because it's free and small enough), Adobe Reader, or Documents To Go.

Hope it helps,

Ari
> I installed the Palm reader on my T3. I'd like to be able to transfer pdf files from my desktop to my pda, but the quick install won't let me. I get the error that says:

How to synch a T3 on Vista?

I've been using a Palm T3 for two or three years, synching to my
Win98SE laptop. Now I'm moving to a Vista Home Premium laptop. The
Palm Desktop 4.something that came with the T3 won't run on Vista, not
even in XP compatibility mode. You just get the splash screen, but no
further. Palm Desktop 6.something for TX will run on Vista, but won't
synch properly with the T3; it makes MDB files that appear to contain
the T3's data, but when you load the Desktop, it's a tabula rasa.

Please, does anyone have a method of synching a T3 with Vista?

1) banning policy - any member who posts spam, ads or flames may be banned from the group without prior warning. Although it is the policy of the moderators to be lenient on questionable posts, the decision of the moderators to ban a member is final and may not be appealed.

2) hard bouncing - a member that is hard bouncing may be unsubscribed without prior notice. Hard bouncing means that an email account is no longer active or is experiencing severe problems.
Correct, only 1GB cards are supported. You cannot format or write to a 2GB card on the Tungsten T, T2 or T3.

However, I have been able to trick my T3 into identifying and playing audio and video files from a 2GB card. To do this, format the card in another device (I use my digital camera). Then, transfer files to the card from your computer using a flash card reader/writer. Presto. The T3 will now be able to access and read the files.

I've only tried this on the T3. I don't know if it'll work on the T or T2. If it does work, the video capabilities of both of them are very poor (unlike the T3), so it would only be good for playing audio files.
agree that one should completely remove the old version before

Thank you and we hope you are enjoying the group!
