<br>Tags are 4 letters long. Case distinction is used as 4 bits to
<br>specify things: chunk is critical for decoding, chunk is part
<br>of the standard, chunk is not reserved for future expansion,
<br>chunk may only be copied if no critical chunks have been
<br>modified.
<br><br>Thus we could use tuXP to discourage keeping the metadata,

<br><br>The old format doesn't store RGB values for the colors, but the index
<br>the color buttons has counting from the left. That means that if you
<br>pick a color from the picker color and apply to a label, next time you
<br>start tuxpaint and edit this label the color will be set to the one
<br>setted in the picker color.
<br><br>Also, there was some problem saving/loading the pixels from a surface
<br>when it was tinted with some specific color. Now it's just saved the
<br>alpha channel and the label generated from it and the stored RGB
<br>values.
<br><br>Of course this means that tuxpaint will crash if you try to open a draw
<br>that has the .label/xxxx.dat file in the old format :(, sorry
<br><br>Pere

<br>none of the text or labels tools has been selected (i.e. it has been
<br>created in previous sessions and in the current session you just have
<br>tweaked some things with the brush tool).

I just got a report today that it works with Windows 7, although the other
day we ALSO received a note from another person using Win7 saying that it
wasn't working right. Our best guess in that latter case is that the
same font-finding stall that occurs on other versions of Windows was
happening on that person's system, too.
So, go ahead and try, and please report back! :) There's certainly
nothing we've specifically done to try to KEEP it from running on Win7! :)

Oh, I thought we decided that a work-around was to remove (or move) the<br>
fontconfig cache out of the way, prior to launching Tux Paint.<br>
Maybe I haven't been paying attention to the bug on SourceForge...?<br>
