Typo in the po fileHi
I think there is a typo in the po file. The phrase: "The layout of icons, name, and status of the blist", shouldn't be "The layout of icons, name, and status of the list" instead? Thanks in advance -- "A critical section of code is like a bathroom. Only one person is allowed inside at once. Re: Typo in the po fileI guessed blist is short for "buddy list" but I don't know if it will
be widely understood by end-users. Yes, "blist" means "buddy list." I don't think we should show that term to end-users though. I think we should change this string to "buddy list." Does anyone know where this string is actually used? I couldn't find it in our UI. -Mark _______________________________________________ Translators mailing list Translators@... http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/translators |

Is there a theme editor in 2.6.0? But I can't find that string in either plugin. Gary? Justin? -Mark _______________________________________________ Translators mailing list Translators@... http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/translators |

(not that we translate the api doc anyway) developers. Some projects split these entries off into their own separate po files; we don't have any such infrastructure in place (should we?), so they land in the regular po files. These strings can be used to generate documentation, but I don't recall the specifics of it. Gary or Justin should know more about this than I do. Well, for reference there are 30 strings marked for translation in that file that may never be seen by a human, let alone one who doesn't speak English. We should determine if it's useful to developers for us to translate those strings, or if there is so much other stuff in English that the developer is going to need to know English anyway. -Mark _______________________________________________ Translators mailing list Translators@... http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/translators |

It looks suspiciously like the theme editor is reading these "informational strings" from whatever data structure pidgin internally uses and presenting them to the user as labels. -- cheers, -ambrose _______________________________________________ Translators mailing list Translators@... http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/translators |
