UML TutorialsHi Everyone,
I am very interested in using Netbeans UML features and was trying to get myself familiar by going through the tutorials. However I faced some problems. In the 'Developing Applications' tutorial (http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/uml/fe.html) I noticed that under the 'Adding and Defining Class Elements' section point 4: 'With the BankAccount class element selected in the Diagram editor, right-click the word Attributes and choose Insert Attribute from the pop-up menu.' I find that I am not able to select the word Attributes, but instead the whole class element, and I dont have the 'Insert Attribute' but only 'cretate Attribute' option. Am I doing something wrong here? In the 'Creating Use Case Diagrams' tutorial 'http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/uml/use-case.html' under the 'Linking Actor Elements to Other Actor Elements' section point 1: 'Click the Bank Teller element, and from the Context Palette, select the Generalization icon. then click the Employees element'. On the right most pane, I don't seem to have a 'Context Palette' Infact the only palette is just 'Palette' with the word basic below it that offers only 'UseCase', 'Actor', 'Package' and 'Comment'. What must I do to get the 'Context Palette'? I really hope someone can help me. Thanks alot. regards javaislife |

Re: UML TutorialsThose two tutorials have a feedback button at the very bottom. Can you please voice your complaints about these tutorials there? The authors will certainly get in touch with you. Thanks. From: javaislife <ilovejava2008@...> To: nbusers@... UML TutorialsHey
It's the same where ever it says insert the netbeans actual is create...guess they made a typo when doing the tutorial. Also when you are doing the implementation and generalization it says click then click they really mean click and drag to the next class/interface object in the diagram. Hope this helps. Reinaldo |
