Dear all,

I'm proud to announce the release of the UNICORE 6.2.0 core servers.
They are available for download from

  http://www.unicore.eu/download/unicore6

This major release brings a large number of improvements, bug fixes and some
new features, as you can see from the list below.

Please note:
  1) existing "DN mode" XUUDBs *must* be re-created due to a necessary change in
  the internal data representation
  2) when updating from 6.1.x, the persistent data should be deleted before restart
  3) documentation was added/updated, both in the docs/ directory in the distribution,
  and online at http://www.unicore.eu/documentation/manuals/unicore6/unicorex/

Please also read the release notes at
<http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=102081&release_id=672095>

  - Added example Linux init script in "extras" directory
  - More documentation in the "docs" folder

  - documentation on AJP/httpd configuration
  - remove link to registration HTML form if registration is disabled
  - bugfix in keystore handling: use case-insensitive comparison of aliases

  - Publish list of user's unix logins on the targetsystem factory
  - Support gsiftp urls for data staging
  - Support for client-generated proxy certificates (can be stored in job directory)
  - Added Find() operation on Storage service
  - Support for dynamic service deployment (still experimental)
  - Application metadata (any XML) can be defined in IDB, and are published
    in TSS/TSF resource property

  - Full support for plain http(s) data stage-in (using UNICORE/X security)
  - Number of service instances per user can be limited
  - UCC libs and config files added (for using UCC as admin tool)

* Improvements and bug fixes:
  - XNJS improvements for reducing CPU load when running many jobs
  - The number of results of a ListDirectory call on the storages can be
    limited
  - Bugfix when importing length 0 files

  of jobs per TSS instance
  - Change default security policy (unicorex/conf/security_policy.xml) to
    allow read access to target system factory properties for everybody

* Internal changes:
  - modules restructured: uas-types, uas-core, uas-authz, ogsa-bes,
    ogsa-bes-types, cis-infoprovider, uas-udt combined into a
    single multi-module project with a single version number
  - Refactored security framework

  - Libraries updated (hsql, xfire, jetty)
  - When removing from the XUUDB, report the number of removed entries
  - Added check-cert and check-dn commands to admin tool

Many thanks to all who helped build and test this release!
