UNICORE 6.2.2 core servers releasedDear all,
I'm pleased to announce the release 6.2.2 of the UNICORE core servers. It can be downloaded from SourceForge at https://sourceforge.net/projects/unicore/files/ For your convenience, here are the direct download links tar.gz bundle: <https://sourceforge.net/projects/unicore/files/1%20UNICORE%206%20Servers%20and%20Services/1.1%20Core%20Server/6.2.2/unicore-servers-6.2.2.tgz/download> Graphical installer: <https://sourceforge.net/projects/unicore/files/1%20UNICORE%206%20Servers%20and%20Services/1.1%20Core%20Server/6.2.2/unicore-servers-6.2.2.jar/download> The focus of this release has been on fixing bugs and on making the servers more well-performing and stable under high load. Detailed change log: General: - improved start.sh scripts (check if process exists) - commented wsrflite.xml config file with important Jetty server settings - more reasonable defaults for Jetty server settings - default lifetimes configurable per-service (sf feature 2827890) - update to Jetty 6.1.19 - fix configure.py when configuring for different install directory Gateway: - disable gzip for gateway to server communication, as this seems to cause problems. Can be re-enabled by setting "http.connection.gzip=true" in gateway.properties UNICORE/X: - improve throughput (e.g. by making job start by clients and the handling of status updates asynchronous) - fix path issues on Windows (sf bug 2836291) - fix resource reservation code (sf bug 2826567 and 2824841) - fix proxy support (sf bug 2830897) - fix "nooverwrite" problem (sf bug 2836752) - longer default termination times for jobs and storages - fix (Java TSI) state QUEUED instead of RUNNING (sf bug 2833039) - periodically defragment HSQL database (workaround for HSQL bug) TSI: - SGE: allow exporting environment settings to the job (Submit.pm) - add module for Cray XT with Torque (contributed by Troy Baer) - allow to discard script output in ExecuteScript.pm Thanks to all who helped build and test this release!
