UTF8 strings appear after updating translations

Hi,

I have checked out FRAMEWORK_3 horde, framework, imp, mimp, ... etc
using cvs. "./translation.php help" works fine in the horde dir.
All my hu_HU.po files are coded in ISO-8859-2.

However, after performing

./translation.php compendium -l hu_HU
(editing compendium.po with "lokalize" from kdedsk)
./translation.php update -l hu_HU

lots (but not all) of my new fuzzied entries are in UTF8. This is very
annoying. This is happening on a properly updated Fedora 10 system.
/etc/sysconfig/i18n contains: LANG="en_US.UTF-8" (default setting)

What am I doing wrong? I have never experienced anything like this
before. The compendium.po doesn't seem to contain any UTF8 strings (so I
don't think "lokalize" introduces the problem).

Has anyone had similar experience, or can anyone help me to solve this
problem?
                     Yours: Laszlo

Obviously it *is* lokalize.
