Hello,

I am pleased to announce that our website, http://ubuntu-ph.org/ , is
*finally* up! It took us almost a year before we got it up and running -
but we did it!

I've spend 2 evenings slaving over getting the 5.x data migrated to
Drupal 6.13, but we got it intact and working - including user
credentials and content, albeit a few broken links. So please treat this
site as a work in progress while we iron out the few known bugs.

Added Features:

1) OpenID Access
I'm a huge fan of OpenID so we've enabled this module. There's no longer
a need to register on the site itself, use your Launchpad login
instead[1]. Users wanting an account *should* sign in using your
Launchpad identity. And those with _existing_ user account is
*encouraged* to link your Launchpad (or any OpenID) identity to your
account.

2) Ubuntu LoCo Theme
We've adopted the official LoCo theme for Drupal 6.x[2] and branched[3]
it for our use. I plan on heavily modifying it to suit our local needs.
Administrators in our Launchpad team would've received notice regarding
this matter.

Known Bugs:

1) Ubuntu-PH.org Domain
At the moment, Canonical's working on the ticket I sent to point the
domain to the current host. As a workaround, you can access the site by
appending the following line on your /etc/hosts.
195.242.99.184 ubuntu-ph.org

2) Temporary Hosting
The domain and the site itself is owned by the Ubuntu-PH community, but
the host it's on isn't. This is a temporary measure while looking for a
more permanent host. This way, we can freely give away full ftp/vps
access to site administrators.

3) Missing 2007-2009 Events and Articles
Since our website was down from 2007, there are no recorded articles
available. I'll backtrack our activies and post them during my free time.

4) Theme Rendering Problem on Opera
I'll be spending a good part of my free time double-checking the CSS.
Please bear with us while we work on it.

5) Broken Links on a couple of Articles
While I managed to backup the MySQL data, I failed to backup the _file_
directory. Any links to any files saved on the said directory is
currently broken. I'll either remove said links or recreate them if I
can find them.

6) Missing Avatars
Avatars are saved on the _file_ directory, since we've lost them, the
current workaround is for individuals to re-upload them back.

Ubuntu 9.04 LCD ACER X163w Resolution

Good day...

Does anyone have the experience on how to set the correct resolution of
Acer LCD X163w in Ubuntu?
The native resolution for this monitor is 1366x768.
Ubuntu 9.04 only supports 1360x768 and up to 1440x900 to which the latter
resolution is incorrect.
Google offers no help this time.

This is a showstopper since the fonts with the 1360x768 resolution looks
terrible.

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Blessings...
Allan
