Unable to change squirrelmail language although you set it as default language

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to ask you how could I change the
default language (english) of squirrelmail and to
set as default spanish language. I've tried with
1.4.5 stable version and 1.4.6 RC1 version and
the only language I could use is english... I've
made a dpkg reconfigure locale, tried in trying
servers copying one language folder to the other
language folder, and some other things without
suceeded... actually I use Squirrelmail 1.4.6 RC1
and it's running over an apache2 server in a Debian Sarge machine.
