Update list of Sakai Properties for 2.5 (Please Review)...

Folks:

After an exhaustive review, I have finished major updates to the configuration property dataset I maintain.  The attached dataset now includes 378 properties, including 4 previously undocumented properties and 55 new properties for Sakai 2.5.x (based on the 2.5.x branch in progress and previous QA tags).  The new properties for Sakai 2.5 include the properties that tool authors took the time to make me aware of (thanks for that).

This time around, I did a backward review of 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 and flagged a handful of properties that were renamed or deprecated in 2.5.   I also checked to see whether properties were "configurable", that is to say, whether their values are read directly from the ServerConfigurationService at runtime, or whether their values are read and stored at tool initialization.  In the attached table, properties with a "Y" are candidates to be configured using the new Config Editor to be unveiled at Newport Beach.  Properties with an "N" are only read at initialization, and are not viable until we make a little more progress with the JMX route.  Properties with a "P" are read directly by some tools and stored as local variables by others, I may allow those to be configured with a warning, I haven't decided yet.

It has become increasingly difficult to keep track of the range of properties, as many tools use dynamic variable names and other bits of obfuscation that make it harder to extract the data without reviewing the code base line by line.  Thus I can never be entirely certain I've caught all the properties out there.  For the properties I've found, I'm basing most of my interpretation on a reading of the code base rather than empirical evidence, as I honestly can't restart sakai hundreds of times to test all of the options.  Thus, I continue to need help from the community to maintain and improve the list of properties.  If you know of any properties not reflected in the attached data set, or see any inaccuracies, please let me know.
