Update request: vpython

Hello,

Visual-python in fink is currently at version 3.2.9, while the 5.0
stable release happened about a year ago. VPython 5 has a number of
very useful enhancements, including opacity and local lighting, as
well as significant speed improvements.  VPython 5.1 was released in
May, and supports Python 2.6.

The OS X package available on vpython.org requires a separate install
of Python 2.6, and doesn't appear to be compatible with Fink's version.

Could you please build VPython 5 (5.13 is the latest release, as of
October 13) for Python 2.6 and add a visual-py26 package? VPython 5.1
is available for Python 2.5 as well, though I don't know how much
demand there would be for that version.

Thank you,
John

I'll update this as soon as I manage to compile it, which hasn't
happened so far. I am not working day and night on it, though.

BTW, I don't see any 5.13 sources on sourceforge, only 5.12.

There is now visual-py26-5.12-2, which builds and works on 10.5 and 10.6.

Thank you!

I've now installed it, and it works.  But, it needs an added
dependency on libsigc++2.

Thanks again for putting this together.

Thanks for noticing; there were a couple of other dependencies missing.
They are added now in 5.12-3.
