Updating programs was installed from source

Wireshark 1.2.0 stable released on June 15th. I currently have
1.2.0pre1 which I compiled, built and installed from the source code.
I want to upgrade to the latest version after removing the version I
have currently. How do I do this?

I use Ubuntu Jaunty.
