Upgrade notifier

While I'm in question asking mode here's one about the upgrade notifier.

I upgraded to 2010 four days ago and for the first couple of days the upgrade
notifier listed various upgrades and bug fixes. Now, out of the blue, the
notifier is warning me that a new version (2010) is available.

Could I have jumped the gun and installed some sort of 2010 pre release
version or is this some sort of bug that will be ironed out in due course?

Yes, it's a bug ignore it.
Check your release with :-
$ cat /etc/release

Other day I saw they notified me to do live upgrade to 2009.1 spring,
and that after I just upgrade to 2010.0...

Run this from a terminal:

cat /etc/release
