Using GPSBabel with Mac OS X 10.6

I've been using GPS Babel v1.3.6 with OS X 10.5 and it worked
reliably.  Now that I've upgraded to OS X 10.6, it works  sometimes,
but not always.  When I load a file to download to my Garmin eTrex
Venture, GPSBabel runs and I get the Processed Fully message, but
there are no waypoints on the GPS.  I was going to download a fresh
copy of GPSBabel to see if that cured the problem, but I noticed on
the download page that the current version is for OS X 10.4 and 10.5?
Are there issues with that version and OS X 10.6?  If so, are there
plans for a version that works with 10.6?

Thanks,
Larry Emery

I upgraded my personal system to 10.6 just Friday, but watching server logs the majority of our Mac traffic has been Snow Leopard for a long time.  The only thing I know if on 10.6 that's weird is that the new GUI has visual artifacts because of a known problem in Qt, the toolkit we use in the beta.

Is it really a Venture (black and white, serial) or is it a Venture HC (usb, color?)

Does the GPS show the transfer is complete?

Are you perhaps just transferring waypoints that are far away and thus not being shown on  your unit as per http://www.gpsfaqs.org/faqs/garmin/xseries/g60csx/waypoints.html#far
