Hi all,
Recently a number of groups have been appearing outside of the
traditional Sakai Collab/Confluence/Jira infrastructure, for
discussing Sakai related developments. I feel that this is dangerous
and has the potential to fragment the community. Discussions and
decisions appear to be being made 'behind closed doors'.
Whilst I realise those groups are open for anyone to join, many look
only towards Collab and Confluence for a central point of discussion
and information so may not be aware of many important discussions
being made in these other groups, nor have the chance to have their
input heard.
Sakai is a vibrant open community and we should keep these discussions
centralised and open for all, especially with the changes coming in
the near future. Do people agree?
regards,
Steve
