Using release groups for disambiguation

What is the concensus of using release group names for the purpose of
disambiguity?

A real-life example:
A Finnish folk band that was active in the 1970s released four albums
that were eponymously named.

1971 - Cumulus (TOP-LP 511) (1st album)
1971 - Cumulus (TOP-LP 515) (2nd album)
1974 - Cumulus (VIM 4009) (a re-recording of the first album with Swedish lyrics)
1977 - Cumulus (PL 4003) (another Swedish language release)

The 1974 & 1977 releases don't pose a problem, but the first two can
since they were released in the same year. On the artist page, with
collapsed RGs, one can't figure out which release is which (although for
this specific artist, both releases were with the same record company,
so the first one is the first one in the release list).

Would edits like http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=10957496 be a
problem?
