I'm trying to use Jira for stories, and wanted to see if there were any best practices or good articles about how to do this (especially with Greenhopper)
Assuming my story looks like this:
{code}
Title (one line describing the story)
As a [role]
I want [feature]
So that [benefit]
Acceptance Criteria:
Scenario 1: Title
Given [context] And [some more context]...
When [event]
Then [outcome] And [another outcome]...
{code}
What works when adding this in to Jira? There are lots of different ways of setting up stories in Jira, but I was interested if any particular way was working. Here are two approaches I've tried:
*1) to add Title in as an issue*, and then scenario 1 as a subtask. But I've run into trouble when other tasks need to be added (separate to the scenarios). I see these as being subtasks (ie: they need to be done before the story is complete), but maybe they can just be separate issues that get linked in
*2) to add Title:Scenario 1 in as an issue*, and then link these back to a separate "Title 1". Any tasks get added as subtasks to title1:scenario1. Problem here is that these subtasks don't always belong to just one scenario...
