Using synce for file syncing only (also using bluetooth for sync)I have setup synce and I can see the file list and all that.
I am using direct internet connection for contacts, calendar and mail. How do I setup synce for file sync only? I'm guessing I don't need msynctool or open-sync for files only. I've seen in the partnership psconfig.xml that lists a file directory. I've set that, but I'm not sure what else there is to do. A few other things I'm not understanding too. Automatic sync on connection - i.e. if I plug in the PDA, how to automatically run synch with the correct user. Synch with blue tooth. I've paired the devices but never synched. Sorry for being such a noob with this. Re: Using synce for file syncing only (also using bluetooth for sync)This all depends completely on what version of Windows Mobile, earlier
than 5 or 5 and later ? There isn't a standard way of doing this, but just starting sync-engine in your login script should work if all you want is file sync. > > > > > > Synch with blue tooth. If you use the ones from the PPA, install synce-hal-bluetooth, and try connecting from the device. Otherwise it involves setting up various support files, I'll try and walk you through it if you have the old version.
