Validation Error in Filtering Select

Hi Guys,

I have an error with the filtering select, which is implemented into an autocomplete. When the filtering select looses focus or it is clicked and no data is sent to the server (or an empty string) I get a validation error (yellow box with exclamation mark). This shouldn't happen because I am not selecting anything in the filtering select, it should just go back to the original form. By the way I don't have validation enabled any were (not in the widget, form, or server side). Can you please tell me if this is a bug so that I can post a ticket or if it isn't can somebody please explain how I can get rid of this.
