Hey,
I just fixed my 1999 EF1000 generator, and everything is working as it should...except the vent tube.  When i put the switch to "stop", the engine shuts off like it should, however the vent tube starts draining gas, and it doesn't stop. I filled a 20oz bottle with what was coming out. If i put the switch back on "run" (with engine off) the tube stops leaking.

The tube was run down to the bottom of the unit when i got it, i am assuming that is correct routing. if i pick the tube up so that it is higher than the gas tank it wont leak anymore (obviously) when put in "stop".

Any ideas?  Thanks!

a quick shot from the hip - your float is stuck or not adjusted or thier is a jet that still need cleaning,

I appears your float is stuck down or the needle is stuck and is calling for fuel, you will have to pull the carb and check, easy fix.
Good luck
