I agree with that thinking as it also doesn't make sense to create a DB2 or
MySQL at release 1.3 if there has never been a 1.0. However, it would be nive
to refer to the jars as a single number and not have to remember a current
release number for every available driver (Soon to be 4). Since I'm a simple
guy without much RAM a single number is nicer if they were packaged.
If we stick with a single version per driver then I think we'll need to update
the Geronimo build to have something like tranql_vendors_yourDBHere_version
numbers.
Like:
tranql_vendors_derby_version=1.1
tranql_vendors_oracle_version=1.1.1
tranql_vendors_db2_version=1.0
tranql_vendors_mysql_version=1.0
as opposed to
tranql_vendors_version=1.3
I kind of like the latter for consistency and makes consumability a bit easier.
Are there license issues to consider?
