Very newbieish question

Hi there, I'm looking at getting started with Gumstix to do some development on a project I'm involved with.

They seem to have everything I need to carry out the project I want to complete but I am having a bit of trouble nutting out some specs from the website.

I basically want to use one of the verdex pro motherboards as the core. But I need GPS and some kind of ability to control a serial device. USB as well would be a bonus.

Looking at the website I would need a verdex pro, gpsStix and one of the terminal boards for sure. Can you connect all these together at once? It's not clear if you can connect more than one daughter board to the gumstix at the same time. Also with the USB.. is that on the gumstix itself on on the daughter board?

Sorry for the very basic questions, and thanks for your time reading this.

Kai

Generally it is only possible to connect one 60 Pin Board and one 80 Pin Board (only  netpro-vx has 80 Pins) at one time; except the tweener Board which can be connected between a 60Pin Expansion Board (e.g. GPSstix) and the verdex Pro board (see http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=157 for compatible expansion boards)

Yes it's possible. If you use GPSstix + tweener + verdexPro you have USB (from GPSstix) and serial Interface
