Hi everybody
please could any one tell me how to implement data from DMA experiment: storage modulus, loss modulus, as function of ferquency
in the material definition of an Abaqus simulation.

Thank you in advance.....

Adel

Hi Adel,

I hope you have seen

"*Viscoelastic" in ABAQUS Keywords Reference Manual and

"Time domain viscoelasticity" in ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual

Also check out Joergen Bergstrom's website PolymerFem for a discussion on converting storage and loss modulus data into a Prony Series approximation for FEA modeling of viscoelastic materials.

Following on from Narinder's suggestion, look for the subheading "Frequency-dependent test data". Abaqus can accept your storage and loss modulus (vs. frequency) data and calculates the terms of a Prony series to represent the viscoelastic response for you.
