Voting Process

Hi all,

Can I clarify something with regards to the voting process: what
happens if an edit receives no votes and expires?  Is the edit lost
for good?

While some of my edits have no problems in quickly amassing votes
(either for or against), I have a number of edits that haven't
received votes, and I'm worried this work will be lost.

is an example.

Thanks,
