W3C TAG interest in Content-type "sniffing"

Lisa and Mark:

The W3C TAG has for some time been studying issues relating to
Content-type "sniffing" by user agents.  We are particularly interested in
understanding (and where appropriate, facilitating improvements to) the
alignment of the HTML 5 draft specifications with pertinent IETF RFCs.
With that in mind, we were wondering if we might convince you both to join
us for an informal discussion on one of our upcoming TAG teleconferences?
Our calls are normally on Thursdays at 1 PM US Eastern Time zone.  We are
also holding a face-to-face meeting from Sept 23-25 at MIT;  if you
prefer, we might have you call in for an hour during that, or even join us
in person if either of you are in the Boston area then.

Please let me know whether you would be interested, and we can then work
out the scheduling.  Thank you very much.

TAG co-chair

P.S. Tracker, this is in relation to TAG ACTION-257
(http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/group/track/actions/257) which in turn is
associated with ISSUE-24
(http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/group/track/issues/24)

Hi Noah,

1pm US/Eastern is difficult for me, as it's in the middle of the night.

I could do 9am US/Eastern during your F2F (that's 11pm for me).

Cheers,

This thursday 1pm eastern could work for me.  9am US Eastern is 6am for me (I'm in California) but other than that slight inconvenience I can be free on  Sept 23, 24 or 25 at that time.

My IM address is lisadusseault@... if you ever need to ping me online, and my phone # is 650 279 7365.

If not, OK, thank you both.  I'll check with others on the TAG, but I
think it would be desirable to have Mark join us, so unless I get advice
to the contrary, I'll likely go with scheduling something for one of the
mornings of our F2F.  Lisa, does that work for you, or is it too early in
your timezone?  We're meeting at MIT, so eastern daylight time.  Thanks.
