WFS Feature countHi Users,
Is there a way that will provide a wfs feature count within a bounding box to indicate that the maxFeatures has been reached without using a getfeature request?
For instance: I’m required to execute a WFS getfeature request with bbox filter. The WFS Service has a max feature limit of say 10000 polygons. Can I do a feature count without executing a getfeature request? I don’t want to perform large requests, then wait until the features are returned only to find polygons missing because of the feature limit.

Re: WFS Feature countWFS 1.1 has resultType hits for this. It is a GetFeature request but
Geoserver will probably just do a count on the database.
