Now that I have sorted all my customers by "Customer Type", I was thinking we should have an option on the "Customer Details" and/or the "Customer Branches" (maybe both places... maybe just the details place) where we could select "Mailing List Subscriber" with a "Yes" or "No" option.
Then we could generate a mailing list based on Customer Type and Mailing List Subscriber and have a certain newsletter / mailer go to one Customer Type and another newsletter / mailer go to another Customer Type.
Then if the customer wants to opt out of the mailings, or if we don't feel it's worth mailing a certain customer, we could turn the customer's "Mailing List Subscriber" option to "No".
If all it did was spit out a CSV list for copy/paste into a mail merge through Open Office or Microsoft Office then that would do the job for now.
I'd like to see this done, but don't have time at the moment (or much MySQL knowledge) to implement this right away.
