WM loseless compress does not work from Actions. works from Tools

I am running MS Vista. (applied the hot fix for WM 9). I execute EAC as administrator. When I rip a CD using the copy and compress option, the black window for the WMA compress is flashed, (probably with an error) and closed. It does not execute. If I execute the compress using the Tools menu it works (It creates the wma files in the parent directory though) Is there something I need to set or fix? this is happening with the latest version (pb5) thanks
