After 5 and a half years, it is finally my privilege to announce that WSDL 2.0 is in Proposed Recommendation!

The short PR period might even allow us to reach Rec before our charter expires on June 30th.

Congrats to everyone for all the hard work getting here, especially to Philippe for managing the document publication process.  Hopefully he’ll only suffer one more round of that!

An action item for everyone: hit up your respective AC reps to file positive votes on WSDL 2.0!

Jonathan,

Thx for your excellent leadership of the WG. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you and hope to have the opportunity again sometime in the future.

I'd also like to thank my fellow WG members and our W3C contact: Philippe and his predecessors Hugo Haas and David Booth.

Most definitely +1 from me too :). I haven't been active in the last mile
(or few miles) but I really, *really* enjoyed the stuff we did and the
environment Jonathan created.

I also want to thank the fellow WG members from whom I've learnt a great
deal on various topics! The W3C staff also have to be commended for
keeping the momentum going for 5+ years (wow!) and for always being
supportive of getting this puppy done!

I think WSDL 2.0 is soooooo much better than the older crappy version and
will leave it in the dust. It'll take some time to take traction, but when
it does I have no doubt that everyone will appreciate our many years of
effort on it!

I just got back from vacation and I wanted to add my +1. It's been an
amazing journey and it's been my privilege working with all these
talented folks. I'll cherish the many conversations we had, especially
during the face-to-face meetings, and I look forward to many more in
whatever setting will bring us together in the future.

Farewell and thanks for all the trouts!

Big +1.

Ditto from me as well. Sorry I have been absent for a long time but
missing the presence of trouts. I keep looking for the opportunities to
repeat the experience with you all again!

An enthiusiastic +1 as well!

I suddendly get a lot older... 5.5 years? Is it so? (Can we go back?
[Screams and shouts in the audience.])

Alas! What am I going to do on Thursday evenings? Maybe go to the pond
and fish trouts -actually, carps around Canon's building. (You're
welcome to irc one or two every now and then. [Sorry, no teleportation
yet.])

Thanks for bearing with us wsdl'ians Jonathan.

Cheers,

JJ.
