Yesterday, Michigan Governor Granholm signed sixteen bills that make Michigan the best place in the United States to make movies. The bills offer tax incentives to film, television, and digital media crews to base productions in Michigan and employ Michigan workers. Already, the package is drawing national attention: last year, the Michigan Film Office received six scripts; this year, they've already received over eighty!

Every dollar spent on film production in Michigan is expected to generate another $1.85 to $3.00 in economic benefit to our state's economy. Other states that passed similar packages have had great success in attracting jobs and investment. For example, New Mexico's incentives grew their film industry from $1.5 million to $476 million per year, creating thousands of good new jobs. With our state's spectacular scenery, hardworking people, and the most aggressive movie incentive plan in the nation, Michigan is truly ready for its close-up.
From forum: CREW NEEDED - PAYING

Hello,
my names are Fri Anna. I am a script writer with a script ready for production. Its called Death Ride...DEATH RIDE is the story that has been awaited on tv screens...its a story about HIV no one ever thought of writing. A story for HIV carriers, and for non carriers.
A young virgin girl gets raped and later discovers that she is HIV postive. she does many disastrous things that will haunt her even after she later discovers she was a carrier well before she was raped, while a virgin. how did she get it, what did she do? well, just enough to pursue her more hotly than the virus she is carrying. how did she get out of it?....if you are interested...

Besides, i have come to the knowledge that many people have great ideas and maginations that they would like to translate unto sheets of paper and eventually produce or sell to producers to make a movie, but at the same time, these people either don't know how to go about writing scripts, or simply cannot find time to write them.Well, thats my job.we make an agreement that i write your script with your ideas, and you pay me only for the writing, a price we shall agree on, which, be sure is a very interesting amount.my contact is
