Warcraft III - The frozen throne , Bnet error.

The works fine singelplayer.

But when i log on to bnet it crashes.

Anybody who knows what to do about this ?

Warcraft version?

Wine version?

Graphics card? (Probably not relevant though...)

Am sorry, the versions are:

Warcraft TFT : 1.24.1.6374

Wine : 1.1.9

Graphics card: Geforce 7300GS

First of all, you should always try the latest version of Wine first. This currently is wine-1.1.29.

There's also a bug report about Battle.net not working in Bugzilla (found that by searching for Frozen Throne):

Same here , with version 1.1.31 on FreeBSD 8.0-RC1
Work great in single player mode but as soon as i try to connect to BNet , i have the same errors as you.

With wine 1.1.24 i could connect to BNet and launch some game , if it found game before 1 minutes (crash in chatroom after 1 minute) but now i can't even connect to BNet.

Is there a wine version I can installed without any patches to run War3 FT Bnet out of the box? :)

According to the bug report, it worked in 0.9.45.  http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9787

Two issues that I'm aware of:

Some crashes which was caused by a Warcraft (1.23 or something) upgrade...

Unfortunately that did not compile on Fedora 11 :(
